The MSO 1300X is a compact biometric device with advanced security functions. The optic technology used not only gives an unequalled performance but also provides an outstanding robustness.
The unique surface of the reader has been designed to optimise the capture of prints. It is the ideal component for a vast range of applications, registrations, authentications and identifications. It permits a comparision of prints either locally, on a terminal, or at a distance, on a server. The host system and the module assure the securtiy of exchanged data using encryption mechanisms and signature.The MSO 1300X, a solution which is both easy to integrate and economical, allows the rapid and safe handling of high quality fingerprint images.


The MSO 1300X is called a 'secured' fingerprint processing peripheral because the entire biometric and cryptographic operations are done by the module. Also, it can be configured in two security operation modes : either the host checks the integrity of the data using the numeric signature, or the data exchange is entirely encrypted after the mutual authentication of both the host and MSO 1300X.
These procedures use the technology public key infrastructure (PKI). Each module has its own certificate X.509 and the biometric characteristics are encapsulated in the biometric structure X9.84.

The MSO 1300X is a unique device which can verify (1:1) and identify (1:N) an individual on a data base of around 1000 fingerprint templates. The verification and/or the identification takes less than a second.
