• The passwords used for remote logons are replaced by a one-time password (OTP).
• The one-time password (OTP) is generated after verification of the user's fingerprint.
• All user data (account, biometric data, configuration) are stored in the sensor.
• None of the data used to generate the OTP ever leaves the biometric token.
Securing remote access using multi-factor authentication.
XELIOS VNA is a remote multi-factor authentication solution offering safe and secure connections to private networks, e-commerce sites or online banks.
XELIOS VNA offers a high level of security in which ordinary passwords are replaced by a strong authentication procedure.
Each user is assigned a biometric token that generates a code that is valid only for the current connection. When prompted to do so, users present their fingerprint (what they are) and then the biometric token generates the one-time password (OTP – what they possess).
These two elements constitute the user's proof of identity.
